Using Articles for Affiliate Marketing

You can use articles as important tools in developing your affiliate marketing business.  In affiliate marketing, you get your income when a merchant pays you a commission for your efforts that result into a person buying a product or service from him.  This type of Internet marketing has become very popular because you would not even have to carry an inventory of products or provide the services yourself.  All you have to do is to establish your own website, register as an affiliate for certain merchants, and develop an effective marketing campaign.  You will then have money coming in no matter where you are, once all of the pieces have been successfully set up.

Article marketing has important functions in the marketing of the merchant’s services or products.  Article marketing is one such function in which you get a number of articles that are relevant to the services or products of the merchant whom you are affiliated with.  Relevant keywords and phrases are part of the articles in which you have also included an attractive byline.  Your affiliate link that has your code to make sure that you get your commission when a customer gets to purchase a product or service from the merchant through your link, is placed alongside the ad.  You submit these articles to the relevant directories so that a large number of people will be able to read your articles.

You may also use articles in the promotion of your actual website that also contains your affiliate link.  You submit your articles to the directories with the purpose of generating backlinks that increase the ranking of your website.  This will optimize your website traffic that will then enhance the possibility of directing more customers to the merchant.

Another strategy is to send your informative articles to various friends and other people whom you know.  Included in these articles are your affiliate links and in this strategy, you are depending on word-of-mouth advertising.  The people who may recognize that your article has been helpful to them may distribute your article to their own acquaintances and this is expected to rapidly increase the number of people who read your articles.  This may cause an explosive growth in the number of people who will eventually click on your affiliate link.
